SB 2024  MEDICAL RESEARCH ON CANCER STUDIES              HHS
        Amends law to require cancer cases detected and
        treated outside of a hospital setting to be registered
        with the Hawaii Tumor Registry.

SB 2027  MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR DENTAL SERVICES FOR
        ADULTS                                     HHS, WAM
        Appropriates funds to provide dental services to
        adults.

SB 2566  MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR PREVENTIVE DENTAL SERVICES
        TO ADULTS                                  HHS, WAM
        Appropriates funds to DHS, DOH, and community health
        centers to provide preventive dental services for
        adults.

SB 2030  RELATING TO HEALTH CARE                    HHS, WAM
        Appropriates funds to support health care for the
        medically underserved.

SB 2039  MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR MEDICINE BANK   HHS, WAM
        Makes an appropriation for the Medicine Bank to
        continue service provision to the medically indigent
        at community health centers.

SB 2040  RELATING TO DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES     HHS, WAM
        Makes an appropriation to match federal funds for
        Medicaid for home and community based care for persons
        with developmental disabilities.

SB 2064  REPEALING SECTION 327E-13 (G), 
        HAWAII REVISED STATUTES                    HHS, JDC
        Removes the pregnant women exemption from the Uniform
        Health Care Decisions Act.


 


SB 2182  MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE WAIANAE COAST
        COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH CENTER                HHS, WAM
        Makes an appropriation to the Waianae Coast
        Comprehensive Health Center for emergency services.

SB 2968  RELATING TO THE WAIANAE COAST COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH
        CENTER                                     HHS, WAM
        Makes an appropriation for the Waianae Coast
        Comprehensive Health Center for the Center's air
        conditioning replacement project.

SB 2488  MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE HANA COMMUNITY HEALTH
        CENTER                                     HHS, WAM
        Appropriates funds in FY 2000-2001 to the Hana
        Community Health Center to allow the center to
        continue its current level of operations.

SB 3022  MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO SERVICE MEDICALLY
        UNDERSERVED AND AT-RISK POPULATIONS IN KONA HHS, WAM
        Appropriates funds to the Kona Primary Health Care
        Clinic.

SB 2567  MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR RESPITE CARE SERVICES FOR
        FAMILIES OF INDIVIDUALS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS  HHS, WAM
        Makes an appropriation to DOH to fund respite care
        services to families providing home care for a family
        member with special needs.

SB 2370  MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR EMERGENCY AMBULANCE
        SERVICE ON THE ISLAND OF HAWAII            HHS, WAM
        Appropriates funds to DOH to provide emergency
        advanced life support ambulance service to the
        residents of Hawaiian Ocean View Estates on the island
        of Hawaii.

SB 2246  MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL 
        SERVICES                                   HHS, WAM
        Makes an appropriation for an ambulance and staff for
        Kaaawa.

SB 2657  RELATING TO HEALTH                         HHS, CPN
        Requires health insurance coverage under accident and
        sickness individual policies and group health
        maintenance organization and mutual benefit society
        contracts to include coverage for diabetes outpatient
        self-management training and education and equipment
        and supplies.
        

        DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW, IF TIME PERMITS
        
Persons wishing to testify should submit 20 copies of their
testimony with two holes at the top, to the committee clerk, Room
228, State Capitol, 24 hours prior to the hearing. Testimony may
also be faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to the Senate
Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 (toll free for neighbor
islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing. When faxing,
please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the
date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies
needed for submittal. 

 
If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services
to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language
interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for
the disabled), please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior
to the hearing so arrangements can be made.
